Drake’s NWTS Hits #1 & He Gains A Global Ambassador Position
Despite his album being leaked Drake was still able to prove that his new album Nothing Was The Same was definitely worthy of reaching that number one spot. With a record breaking first weeks sales of 658,000 copies, NWTS became the second album this year to sell the most copies, the first album being Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience. This album sold more than both Thank Me Later and Take Care in their first weeks. Now with a number one album under his belt, Drake is gearing up for his Would You Like A Tour? tour, which kicks off on October 18th.

Earlier this week Drake was given the title of Global Ambassador of the Toronto Raptors. He now has the job of helping his hometown’s NBA team create a new image for themselves for the 2014-2015 season hoping to put the team on the map with the other well known NBA teams, and also for the 2016 NBA All Star Game. In other words Drake is definitely making moves both inside and outside of music.
