Hüsker Dü Launch Merch Website, Opening Door to Further Band Activity

Hüsker Dü broke up at the end of the ’80s. Since then, the band’s three members (singer/guitarist Bob Mould, drummer Grant Hart, and bassist Greg Norton) have had little to do with each other, publicly.

Now, that seems to be changing. As the Minneapolis StarTribune reports, the band launched a new website over the weekend selling six different official t-shirts. “The main thing is, there’s ongoing communication between the three of us now,” Norton told the StarTribune, hinting that more Hüsker Dü activity could be coming in the future.

Norton said that the band has hired Meat Puppets manager Dennis Pelowski to “help us figure out how to get a foothold back in the business.” The group’s song “Pink Turns to Blue” appeared on the AMC show “Halt And Catch Fire” and according to the StarTribune, an official Facebook page is in the works.

As for the possibility of future Hüsker Dü reissues or archival releases, which have been lacking thus far, Norton’s keeping mum for the moment: “There are more moving parts than we’d like to deal with, but we’ll see what happens,” he told the StarTribune.
