Public Image Ltd. Announce New Album What The World Needs Now…, Tour

Back in 2012, John Lydon’s post-punk group Public Image Ltd. released This Is PiL, their first new album in 17 years. Today, they’ve announced that they’ll follow that one up with What the World Needs Now…; it’s out September 4. Lydon said in a statement, “Buy now while stocks last.”
The band are also heading out on tour. Find those dates here.
The album was recorded last year at Steve Winwood’s Wincraft studio. The opener and lead single “Double Trouble” will be released as a 10″ on August 21. (The B-side features two songs called “Bettie Page” and “Turkey Tits”.)
