The Paisley Fields tours in support of chart-topping “She’s No Angel”

After a song a day writing ritual forced singer/songwriter James Wilson to confront his demons, he has arrived, boots kicking, on the other side. Wilson is the front man of The Paisley Fields, a Brooklyn-based country band. The Paisley Fields hits the road to promote “She’s No Angel” at the end of month.

Last September, the two-time ASCAP songwriters’ award winner made a pledge to write a song a day for one year. Wilson penned “She’s No Angel” on day five.

“She’s No Angel” debuted at #17 on the iTunes charts for country releases. The video features the Grand River Singers, an adult show choir from La Crosse, WI that stars inVH1’s reality show Off Pitch.

The Paisley Fields’ videos have more than 100,000 views on YouTube. The band was also named the #1 country band in NYC by ReverbNation.

The Paisley Fields kicks off the Sinners Get On Your Knees Tour with a stop at Uncommon Ground in Chicago, IL on Sept. 24th. Though Wilson sometimes struggled, his year-long commitment to write a song a day wraps during the tour. The Paisley Fields will celebrate the occasion with a performance at The Root Note in La Crosse, WI on Sept. 27th.

“The hardest part is when I am just exhausted after a long day, and I have to find the stamina somewhere to create,” Wilson says of his songwriting. “But none of these songs would exist if I wasn’t doing this pledge, so that’s the most beautiful thing for me.”
