The 31-year-old shows off her toned figure in the new campaign, “You’re Naked Without It,” a partnership with Reebok and FACE Stockholm, that she’s thrilled to be a part of.

“I was really excited to be picked for the campaign because I’m a true ’80s baby. Reebok Classic aren’t an especially British brand, but for me for some reason, they feel British because I grew up wearing them (I had them as a little girl),” she tells PEOPLE. “[The Reebok x FACE Stockholm partnership] makes complete sense, and obviously I’m a beauty junkie — everybody knows I love lips of all the rainbow colors — so I’m super into it, it couldn’t have been more perfect. Lips and kicks!”

The collection features fun updates to Reebok’s most iconic styles, including the Classic Freestyle high top sneaker, Classic Leather and Princess Spirit, in new fresh, bold hues and textures (think: metallics, pastels and color-blocked styles).

For someone who describes her style as “uncommitted” having to choose a favorite from the new line wasn’t easy for Madekwe. But when pressed, she said she’s all about the metallic kicks at the moment since they pair with just about everything in her closet.

“People don’t really know this about me, but I used to work in a sneaker shop,” she tells PEOPLE. “I was one of the only girls working in this limited-edition sneaker store in London, and I would wear [tennis shoes] with anything since you can dress them up or down.”

[Editors’ Note: When we spoke to the star, she paired her Classics with a simple black Marni shift dress — and it totally worked.]

That easygoing attitude can be applied to her fashion blog, Ring My Bell, she says.

“To be honest, I’m probably one of the laziest fashion bloggers out there. I see girls who do it more often and are better at it than I am, and I’m grateful that anyone would take the time to read my blog,” she tells PEOPLE. “[My blog] is just what I’m wearing; I never get dressed up for the blog. So, that sometimes means I don’t want to blog something if I feel I look a bit sh—- that day. It pushes me to wear more interesting things in a way, because I can be known to just wear denim shorts and a black T-shirt for days on end, especially when I’m filming.”

And like her bold new kicks, when it comes to lipstick, Madekwe’s motto might as well be, “Go big or go home.”

“I love a red lip — red is probably my go-to [shade],” she says, “but I’m not scared to do purple, pink or orangey-red as well.”

Which is why it’s not surprising her fave shade from FACE Stockholm’s line is a deep, dark red. “The first one I brought out of the bag was “Express” by FACE Stockholm, and I immediately knew it was the one. I was like, ‘This is the lip!’”
