Jacket Pins & Brooches: A Runway Trend You Can DIY

In September, Marc Jacobs wowed with his Spring 2016 runway show at the legendary Ziegfeld Theater in Midtown New York City.

By paying homage to the venue with fun details like popcorn, candy and playbills alongside his collection, he proved his ability to merge fashion and context.

One of the standout pieces from the 1950s themed collection were Jacobs’ pin, brooch, badge and button embellished jacket and blazers. Although other designers like Prada and Chanel showed lapel pins in recent collections, the Marc Jacobs Collection enhanced already beloved denim jackets, varsity jackets and blazers to down to earth, trophy pieces that were at once both nostalgic and decadent.
