Laverne Cox Posts Makeup-Free Selfie (and Reveals Even More Than That)

We’d already known Laverne Cox had made it — she’s ruled every red carpet that she’s stepped onto since Day One. But she’s just achieved the final level of A-list Hollywood beauty ascendancy: The oh-so-perfect barefaced selfie.

The Orange Is the New Black star celebrated her much-overdue vacation with a makeup-free snapshot that revealed her luminous skin –and quite a bit more, thanks to that sheer, ultra-sexy swimsuit. And in a prime example of Kylie Jenner-style Instagram misdirection, Cox ignored the underboob situation and captioned the Insta, “Finally a few days to relax. I feel so privileged to be able to do work that I love and very privileged to be able to take time off occasionally,” she captioned the selfie. “I take none of it lightly. Always good to have days with no makeup to let my skin [breathe]. #washfacenobase #TransIsBeautiful.”

Cox is joining the ranks of celebs including Rihanna, Heidi Klum and Kim Kardashian, to name a few, who’ve all gone barefaced for their social media followers. These stars prove that barefaced is beautiful (as long as you have an iPhone, a great filter and impeccable lighting, and maybe a light coat of mascara and lip balm).
