Michelle Obama Looks Perfect in Purple at the White House State Dinner

First Lady Michelle Obama loves a bold print. She also loves bold color. The fashionable FLOTUS stunned in a vibrant purple shade at the White House State Dinner for Japan on Tuesday, paying tribute to her guests of honor by donning an elegant full-skirted tulle gown by Japanese-born designer Tadashi Shoji.

The First Lady and her husband, President Barack Obama, who looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie, made quite the stylish pair as they welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Shinzö Abe and his wife, Akie Abe, to the dinner.

The First Lady stood out in a sea of stars at the event, which was also attended by rumored couple Ciara and Russell Wilson, Star Trek alum George Takei and Scandal showrunner Shonda Rhimes.
