And just like that, red carpet season has begun.
In the midst of the chaos that is New York Fashion Week, it was easy to forget the the Emmy Awards were this weekend, but that doesn’t mean the red carpet was forgettable.
The biggest names in television came out in style to make history (we’re talking to you Taraji, Kerry and Viola) and to prove that naked dresses are not the only way to make it on a best dressed list.
In lieu of showing serious skin, nominees stuck with perfectly tailored pantsuits (Tatiana Maslany, January Jones), off-the-shoulder gowns, and stuck with old Hollywood glamour. There were many #slay moments on the red carpet, but only a few stand out moments worth reliving.
Our honorable mentions go to “OITNB” actress Samira Wiley, Amy Poehler, “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner and Maggie Gyllenhaal in Oscar de la Renta.
