I was brought up in a very diverse cultured background, a background that was big on motivation , creativity, and expressing one’s self. I started singing at the age of 2 years old and have been performing since I was 4 years old. Humbled spirit and was always passionate about performing arts, I applied myself in anything and everything dealing with performing. One of my biggest accomplishments thus far is graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (A.M.D.A) for the Fine Arts & Performing Arts. My family always instilled in me at a young age that no matter how talented you are, a backup plan is always necessary in today’s society; knowledge is power!

My catalog of performances features the likes of Brooklyn 12 News, B.E.T for the opening of The Biggie Smalls wax monument at the Wax Museum and was cast in the world famous “Dream Girls” off-broadway production where I played one of the singers’ from the infamous all girl group “The Stepsisters”. But this is not just about me and my talent; I love sharing so much that I decided to create a show to highlight artists from all walks of life. The name of this show is called “Creative Minds” which is an Open Mic/Artist Show Case which takes place every other Wednesday night in Brooklyn, New York. We welcome peace ,unity, and creativity. Distinguish- Distinguish, sounds enormous and dynamic huh? You see, for awhile I’ve had this “title”, this “accent”, this “name”and didn’t even realize just how powerful it was, not until I started to doubt myself. Yes, doubt is powerful and it could stifle a young one but when I was 15 years old I had a chip on my shoulder, that I was going to be this “distinguished” individual, and the whole world would love me for me; listen to this. Born Henry Bernard Leslie Gray I was always an odd child. Writing my feelings in black and white compositions expressing how I felt being at home, attending the school down the block and being picked and humiliated constantly among peers; writing saved me. Through my writing I found a love for words and poetry that has led me to be one of the fastest rising young people that I know of today. I’ve performed all over the 5 boroughs, for the NAACP, opened for R&B Singer Chrisette Michelle and currently in Katori Hall’s ground-breaking play production “Children of Killers”. See, performing for me is therapy. In my world the art of performance can save it, it saved me from taking my own life at the tender age of 10. I’m nobody that should be idealized or put up on a big screen flaunting, I allowed the many different art forms to help heal through me, then heal another and eventually I intend for it to heal YOU.

X.A.B- There is power in the art of using words, and there may never be a more entertaining form of delivering words than emceeing. With the release of his highly anticipated official first mix-tape, “Lyrically Sound” (June 23, 2012), X.A.B made huge waves. The hit single “In Her Heels” is the official opener and closer for the Internet sensation “In Her Shoes” whichstars TV personality Tai Beauchamp. The show airs on www.Chicrebellion.tv.

With commanding stage presence, X.A.B has been rocking the East Coast in cities like Baltimore, MD, Patterson, NJ, and his native town of Brooklyn, NY. He has performed for the likes of Chanel Clarke of XXL magazine, Bad Boys Entertainment’s recording artist E- Ness, DJ N.O. of E.N.T. and Coast2Coast Mix-tapes. After seeing X.A.B perform DJ N.O. personally hand picked the artist to be featured on his mix-tape “Watch Me Work Vol. 3”.

This rising star is just beginning. This year will see the release of several major projects from X.A.B such as the game changing collaborative album “Glasses&Bowties” which X.A.B shares with the phenom of Untamed Talent; Distinguish the god. As the anticipation for this album grows it is shaping up to be one of the most celebrated projects either artist has released up to date.

This year will also see the release of X.A.B’s second solo effort “Ignorance is Bliss”. The project promises to give a deeper insight into X.A.B.

X.A.B is the new voice of Hip Hop.
