Y.O. Mr turn it up was born Aaron Landers in Tallahassee Florida. He later moved to Kinston, NC where he would attend school and gain a natural love for music. He started rapping at the young age of 12 when he attended Rochelle middle school where he was also a member of the school band as well as the football team. At the age of 16, he moved back to his hometown Tallahassee Florida. At that time the down south trap music scene was just taking off with Atlanta rappers T.I. and later on Young Jeezy both who where very influential on the style and sound of Mr Turn It Up. At the age of 19 Mr turn it up would returned to NC and begin his rap career under the name Y.O. He would add Mr Turn It Up to his name later in 2009 when he started the label Turn It Up entertainment. He is currently putting his stamp down on the Carolina music scene being recognized as one of the top artist in the state.
