2015 Met Gala: A Red Carpet Fashion Event

The Met Gala is formally referred to as the Costume Institute Gala, a glamorous fashion event that is staged every year for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. As expected, big name celebrities graced the event and they appropriately followed this year’s theme: ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’. Although the festivities will officially start May 7, the carpet was laid down last Monday, May 4, 2015 to officially start all the fashion, the fun, and of course, the art. As expected, stars from all over Hollywood flocked in. There was Beyonce in her beautiful nude dress that highlighted her figure. Katy Perry was there too and she wore clothes in harmony with designer Jeremy Scott. Miley Cyrus, Ellie Goulding, and Kim Kardashian rubbed elbows with other stars and the big names in the fashion industry and the arts. Cara Delevigne made a grand entrance with her beautiful cherry blossom body art tattoo. All the proceeds of the 2015 Met Gala will be turned over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for its numerous projects, exhibits, and acquisitions.
