Amir Khan Calls Out Mayweather: ‘He’s Running Scared’ (@AmirKingKhan @FloydMayweather)

After letting fans decide his next fight, Floyd Mayweather’s pick may have brewed trouble with another potential fighter.

According to Michigan Live, Amir Khan tweeted his opinion on why he wasn’t picked to fight the boxing champ. He believes that Maywether is running scared and wanted an easier fight.

“Can I apologies to the thousands of people who are let down. You me and everyone wanted the Mayweather fight. He’s running scared.” he tweeted yesterday.

Floyd’s coach and father Floyd Mayweather Sr., says that Maidana is in fact the easier choice.

“Sometimes, you hear people say words like that, you can look at a person as looking over a person,” Mayweather Sr. told reporters. “You can’t look over nobody in this game, man. If you don’t train good now, this guy might train to his best. He wants to win. He’ll give it his all.”

Mayweather’s camp says that the Mayweather-Maidana deal isn’t confirmed yet and doesn’t know why Khan tweeted his statement.

The fight is scheduled for May 3.
