Angel Haze Bashes Her Label & Leaks Entire Album Online (@angelhaze)

Rapper/singer Angel Haze got fed up with her label, Island/Republic, not releasing her “Dirty Gold” album as promised, so she took matters into her own hands and released the album herself. According to Angel, label execs promised to release her album if she completed it before the summer, but at the close of the year the album was still unreleased. 

A fed up haze tweeted, “So sorry to Island/Republic Records, but f–k you. I got here doing this for my fans and if you guys don’t feel the same, it won’t stop me.”

She proceeded to leak the album on her Soundcloud page, but it was subsequently taken down by her label. Fans who had the chance to listen to “Dirty Gold” were extremely pleased with her work. Check out Angel’s tweets and fans’ reactions in the above slide:
