College basketball superstar and WNBA standout Brittney Griner recently revealed that she waited until leaving Baylor to come out, because her former coach made her keep it private. Griner admitted that she wanted to support her school, but felt uncomfortable because the administration had a written rule about homosexuality. The No.1 WNBA draft pic came out after signing with Phoenix Mercury, telling Sports Illustrated that she found it easy, adding, “Just be who you are.”
