Cut crease, is a new technique that creates the illusion of larger lid space by using contrasting eyeshadow in the crease to make the eyes appear more open and lifted. For girls with heavy eyelid folds, this technique will literally change your life. You can finally create defined looks for you eyelids, instead of artlessly dusting on your shadow.

To get the cut crease eyeshadow look, begin by priming your eyelids with an eyeshadow primer. Next, outline your crease with a deep colored shadow using an angled brush. Then buff out the color using a fluffy blending brush. Finally, use a flat shadow brush to pack a light colored eyeshadow onto to your eyelid. Add a bit of liner and mascara, and voilà.

Like winged liner, this is going to take some practice to get right. Don’t worry about perfecting the look on your first try, have fun while you play around with the look and endless color combos.
