Dolphin’s guard Richie Incognito has been suspended indefinitely amongst allegations of locker room harassment and bullying, and let’s not mention the racist texts and voice mails sent to teammate, Jonathan Martin. Last week Martin left the team due to “emotional” issues. Turns out those emotional issues involved locker room misconduct in the form of bullying, and at the center of it all is Miami Dolphins team leader, Richie Incognito (pictured below).

Being that it’s football, Martin probably just put up with the bullying, and didn’t want to come across as a “snitch”. But thing got so bad for the second-year player from Standford that he was compelled to take a break. Now that an investigation is under way, we know that Martin was racially targeted, forced to pay large sums of money to veterans, including financing a $15,000 Vegas trip he wasn’t even invited to. Today this message was leaked to the media, showing the type of mess Martin was really dealing with from teammate, Incognito.

Hey, wassup, you half n—– piece of s—. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s— in your f—ing mouth. [I’m going to] slap your f—ing mouth. [I’m going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F— you, you’re still a rookie. I’ll kill you.

Wow! To your own teammate? According to other teammates from Incognito’s past, this is not surprising or new behavior.

There’s certain people out there who are just punks, and he wants to be that kind of guy, but because he’s a lineman, he gets away with a lot of stuff that people don’t see. … Incognito is way worse than anybody I ever played against. {Lion’s defensive end Lawrence Jackson}

None of it shocks me. I don’t know any details obviously. The league hasn’t released anything. But Richie seems to be a person with a tortured soul. He’s had these issues for quite awhile, and it’s sad. It seems like this is something that has been haunting him for more than a decade. He was always a very emotional player, very reactive. There a few people kind of defending Incognito despite his shaky past, but I think this may be the last straw for Mr. Richie.

I would just say he’s a jokester kind of guy. A good guy, but like all of us, you want to have your fair shake of pranks and stuff like that. … It’s unfortunate. You never want it to get to a point where guys want to leave the team. You would hope other guys in the locker room would help police it. Many people are wondering, why didn’t the other teammates step up? Especially if he’s calling Martin, “a half n*gga”. I guess it’s only half racist. For real though, his name is “incognito”? The coaches really didn’t see this scandal coming…Believe a man when he tells you who he is.Similar Posts:
