ESPN suspends Stephen A. Smith over domestic abuse comments

Popular sports talk host Stephen A Smith was suspended by ESPN over remarks he made about the Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice situation. Ray Rice who was suspended by the NFL for Allegedly punching his wife in Atlantic City. Ray Rice who wasn’t charge criminally was still suspended two games. Stephen is quoted saying during ESPN first take discussion “Let’s make sure we don’t do anything to provoke wrong action … we got to also make sure that you can do your part to do whatever you can do to make, to try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.” Smith was suspended for a week. Smith colleague Michelle Beadle responded on Twitter that “I was just forced to watch this morning’s First Take. A) I’ll never feel clean again B) I’m not aware that I can provoke my own beating.”Stephen has made serval apologizes since the incident. Was his words taking to far? Or did he take it to far?
