Exclusive! Candice Glover Thanks Simon Cowell for Mean Comment (@candiceglover @simoncowell)

Season 12 “American Idol” winner Candice Glover opens up about trying out for the talent show many times before making it to the televised portion. She also speaks about Simon Cowell telling her that she would never amount to more than a lounge singer, which she thanks him for now, because it pushed her to go further with her music. 

When asked about Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey’s fights on set, Candice said that they didn’t seem scripted for the show and she believes the drama was all real. Candice adds that she really enjoyed getting mentored by the two stars but couldn’t choose between them when asked who would win in a boxing match.
