Exclusive! Havoc on Rap Stars Battling: “Don’t Get Embarrassed” (@HAVOCMOBBDEEP @MobbDeep)

Queens, NY native Havoc, of the infamous Mobb Deep, spoke with VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes recently about the rising talent within the sport of Battle Rap.  Havoc will be appearing on Season 2 of BET’s 106 & Park Ultimate Freestyle Friday (UFF) serving as a judge alongside Prodigy and many others, and provided his thoughts on some of the talent he saw battle throughout the day.  

Havoc was impressed with many of the lyricists who competed in the tournament, and the overall evolution of Battle Rap as a whole from its freestyle cypher beginnings.  He also spoke on Hollow Da Don’s talent coming out of Queens, and how mainstream rappers can properly make the transition into Battle Rap as long as they do their homework.  He did warn any artist willing to try their hand at battling to not “get embarrassed,” after referencing Canibus’ failed battle attempt during his match against Dizaster.
