Exclusive! T-Pain Clears Up Katt Williams Dance Battle Story (@tpain @KattPackAllDay)

Rapper T-Pain sets the record straight on a story that he beat Katt Williams out of a hosting gig for the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards during a dance battle. However, T-Pain reveals that there was actually never a dance battle over who would host the gig.  

The “Up Down” rapper explains that BET execs called him the night before the show to host the awards show, which he immediately agreed to, but later had questions about the original host. When he was told that it was Katt, T-Pain was confused as to why the comedian had turned down the opportunity, and was told that Katt was upset over “lame jokes” written for him and BET wouldn’t budge on changing them.
