Trinidad James sat down with VladTV to explain his highly talked-about and controversial statements on the “South running NY,” revealing that it was completely taken out of context. The “All Gold Everything” rapper starts out by sharing how he feels about the music industry and how he’s being labeled as a “the dude with one hit” right now. 

He then moves into explaining that he wasn’t trying to disrespect NY rappers with his comments, he claims he was only trying to call out NY radio for not supporting the sound of their rappers. Trinidad admits that he “chose the wrong place to have a barbershop conversation,” but sticks by his statements, because he sees the disconnect with how rappers in Atlanta are being promoted, unlike in NY.
