GA Teen’s Body Stuffed With Newspaper, Courts Say It’s Okay

A South Ga. court found that the funeral home that stuffed Kendrick Johnson’s body with newspapers didn’t do anything wrong in the burial process, contrary to his family’s beliefs.

If you haven’t been following the case, Kendrick Johnson, 17, was found at dead rolled up in a gym mat at his school last January.

According to AP, police claimed that the death was accidental but further investigation proved that it was a murder. Police noticed errors in surveillance cameras, and discovered that Kendrick’s face was bashed into his skull. In efforts to find out more about the alleged murder, the family requested for a second autopsy. It was then they discovered that all of organs were removed without their permission, and his body was stuffed with newspaper.

His parents are currently trying to reopen the case with help from the FBI. It is unclear what happened to Kendrick’s organs.
