Here Is Jack Nicholson’s Reaction to the New Joker

Full disclosure: this is not really Jack Nicholson’s reaction to the recently released image of Jared Leto as the Joker for David Ayer‘s Suicide Squad. It’s one of those clever interweb videos on the You Tube that takes existing footage and edits it to look like something else. And in this case, the existing footage is the final seen of 2002′s About Schmidt.
All that being said, this probably really is how Jack Nicholson reacted to the first real image of Jared Leto as the Joker. Nicholson let it be known when Christopher Nolan made The Dark Knight that he considered his to be the definitive joker, even going so far as to publicly express dismay at the fact that Heath Ledger didn’t ask him for advice before playing the role. (Which, of course, is hilarious.)
Also, Jack Nicholson probably did see Jared Leto’s Joker for the first time in an actual letter delivered to his house by an employee of the United States Postal Service. Because he’s old and kinda crotchety and he probably has his personal assistant mail him printed out photos from social media so he can stay on top of current events.
