Shoulders seem to be getting all the attention these days with all the off-the-shoulder and shoulder cutout pieces we’ve been seeing. But there’s another way to bare a little a skin this spring.

Rosie Assoulin, Céline and Prada all have incorporated backless, open back tops into their recent collections sparking a trend perfect for sunnier days. Bonus: It’s actually super versatile. It’s not everywhere appropriate but goes with more things than you think. We prove it with a round-up the best outfits on IG to show what to wear with  backless tops.

Recreate Céline’s it dress shape with a long a-line skirt and a backless top or one that creates the illusion of a layered backless.

However pencil skirts, trousers, jeans, cut-off shorts and even super wide culottes all work surprisingly well with a backless top. They are still a bit revealing so you may want to think twice before wearing one to the office, unless you plan on tucking it under a jacket until the big reveal at happy hour!

If you’re a I-MUST-wear-a-bra girl for an open back top with a faux layered detail or something that drops a bit at the shoulder to hide a back bra or go try a super low scoop back that allows for a scoop back bustier.

Although Kim Kardashian manages to pull off support in a backless top, don’t be afraid to try those backless bras. For those not so concerned, nipple covers or nothing is just fine too.
