Accessories were the undeniable star of Prada’s Spring 2016 collection. The orb shaped earrings, futuristic kitten heels and lacy neckpieces, in particular, were unlike anything we’ve seen in a long time. The pattern mixing between the printed clothing and woven pattern in the neckpieces is just so genius it kind of makes you want one or at least consider it.
We set out to make our own DIY runway neckpiece to get in on the look without the luxury level commitment but all the style.

Prada’s luxury collections are splurge-worthy on an entirely different level. Prada’s ribbon tied scarf styles can cost $525. That said, the concept is a fun one and worth an attempt. Obviously the craftsmanship won’t be as refined as Prada’s but you can create some visual interest and a new layering piece with just a few basic arts and crafts techniques.
