How To Rob: 50 cent at SummerJam sticks up SlowBucks CEO

50: King of the rap game

Curtis ’50 cent’ Jackson can’t do anything small. With TV, he was up to something with his first show ‘the finder’. His debut album was something all of us can never forget whether hiding under the covers trying to sneak in some 50 cent before bed.

We can start with the things he does know how to do well (and some things, maybe not so much.)

  • He does know how to promote his music
  •  He doesn’t know how to pitch a baseball,
  • He does know how to get the attention of nearly everybody who listens to hardcore Hip Hop. Maybe even Jazz.

This latest story will seal good ol’ 50 as the guy who can really tell you ‘how to rob’. 50 recently signed to Epic records and led up to the release of his 5th album ‘animal ambition’ album quite well. After throwing a pitch for a Mets game,  joining the stage with Nas & the G-Unit crew, and getting the chain of rapper from fellow queens crew Slowbucks snatched, 50 cent can really say some interesting things for how a legacy in rap should be left.

G Unit and Company.

G-Unit will finally get back in order it seems:

“It wasn’t difficult for me to pull G-Unit back together. That’s mine, they’re like my little brothers,” said 50, before adding, “The difficult part is me going through the expectations. Because they’re my little brothers, they expect me to do it for them at some points… So now I’m just going to do what we doing now, until everybody’s ready.”

Want to know what he thinks about Power, the new series he has written on Starz?

“It’s what’s missing,” said 50 about the new program, “I think Hollywood has shown that they actually cycle – like fashion cycles, like music culture cycles – now this’ll be that thing that’s representation of not just our culture as far as hip-hop culture is concerned… not urban culture, but inner-city living.”

Power has a price.

SoJones has an opinion on the quality of this show, and we might even have to do a recap if things really pick up!

“Power” tells the story of wealthy New York City nightclub owner, James “Ghost” St. Patrick, who caters to the city’s elite. He wants to build an empire, turn the club into a Fortune 500 business, but there’s just one problem: he is living a double life.

When he is not in the club, he is the kingpin of the most lucrative drug network in New York for a very high-level clientele. His marriage, family and business all become unknowingly threatened as he is tempted to leave his criminal life behind and become the rags-to-riches businessman he wants to be most of all.

We hope that 50 cent continues to dominate in this field as more people will be tuning in with SoJones paying attention! The eight episode first season will premiere Saturday, June 7th on Starz.

Let’s see how many of you can buy new G-Unit and maybe SoJones can arrange a giveaway! You know as the world’s first urban magazine 50 cent and Sojones are a natural match made in heaven!
