Jennifer Hudson’s Emotional Walk Of Fame Ceremony
There are few Cinderella stories out in Hollywood today like that of Jennifer Hudson‘s. From just another person in the American Idol tryout line to Oscar winning actress, she’s definitely had a career that will probably result in some kind of movie in her later years. And now she has yet another triumph to add to her name: a star on the Walk Of Fame. E! Online is reporting that Jennifer had an especially emotional ceremony, as she talked about her mother watching from above.
“I knew I would get emotional and I’m sure my mom is in heaven like ‘Jenny stop crying’ but now’s the time to cry mama, it is,” she said with a smile, looking up to the sky. “This is an amazing honor as we all know and I did not see this coming. I’m so honored to be here with so many that I love and I feel as though we’re all a family.”
Singer Raphael Saadiq and music exec Clive Davis were in attendance. Clive even compared Jennifer‘s career and voice to that of Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. Congratulations are definitely in store!! Check out more pictures from the ceremony with Jennifer, her fiancee David Ortunga and son David Ortunga Jr, when you continue:
