Jermaine Dupri Says He Was the Victim of "Rapper Profiling" (@jermainedupri)

Jermaine Dupri was pulled over by police on Dec. 27th because the tint in his Lincoln was apparently too dark. The police on the scene reported that they detected “a strong odor of marijuana” coming from vehicle, which prompted them to pull Jermaine and the rest of the passengers out of the car to be searched. Now Jermaine is calling out said cops, accusing them of “rapper profiling.”

According to a follow-up interview with TMZ, Jermaine believes “cops followed him from the nightclub he had just made an appearance at … and stopped him within minutes because he’s a celebrity.” In addition he also thinks it’s “ridiculous that cops called out the K9 unit and thinks it is massive overkill.”

However, the police refute his claims, saying it was standard procedure.
