Kanye May Be “Biggest Rock Star In The World” But Jay Z Wins GRAMMY Nods

If you let Kanye West tell is, he’s a genius as well as The Biggest Rock Star in the World, and that this Yeezus album is the best thing since The New Testament.  I will give him musical genius, however concerning “the greatest rock start in the world,” the Recording Academy doesn’t quite agree with that assessment.

It is Jay-Z who leads the field with the most nominations, nine to be exact. Followed by Kendrick Lamar (Yes!), Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Pharrell Williams all tied with seven nods, followed by Daft Punk, Drake, Lorde, Bruno Mars (who deserves more), and Taylor Swift (again?), all of whom receive more nominations than The Biggest Rock Star in the World.

Kanye West isn’t totally snubbed, he does walk away with two nods, neither of which is for artist of the year, or album of the year. #Bound
