Congratulations to Kenan Thompson and wife Christina Evangeline who welcomed a bouncing baby girl into the world on Friday (June 20). The Saturday Night Live star announced the arrival of his and Christina’s bundle of joy by way of spokesperson.
“Kenan and his wife Christina welcomed daughter Georgia into the world at 6 1/2 pounds,” said the family’s representative. “The family is home and absolutely blessed.”
The Thompsons joyfully announced their expectancy earlier this year. Kenan later told media that he was afraid to become a parent. “I am terrified,” revealed the star. “I don’t know what to do with babies. Like, do you feed it and, like, put it away or something?”
The comedian also said that the idea of his wife giving birth made him extremely nervous. “That’s what’s freaking me out the most,” shared Thompson. “A guy’s doctor visit is kinda, you know, straightforward. Just a little cough, a little touch here, a little ear, nose and throat. But women-that’s an intricate type [of] situation.”
Despite being fearful of the experience, Kenan was present during Christina’s labor and delivery. The comedian wed in 2011.
