Kevin Durant Officially Engaged to WNBA’s Monica Wright (@kdtrey5 @monnie22)

Oklahoma Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is officially engaged to WNBA player Monica Wright. She confirmed the news after her team, Minnesota Lynx, won over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. 

The two ballers have known each other since the 2006 McDonald’s High School All-American Game, when they both ruled D.C. high school basketball. She was later picked second overall in the 2010 WNBA draft after becoming a standout player at UVA. 

While they’ve managed to keep their relationship low key for some time now, Monica did recently open up about their “friendship.” 

“A lot of it has to do with basketball, that’s how we’ve known each other. But he’s helped me, coached me. He’s actually a type of player I want to be like.”
