Lawyer Blasts Kanye for Threatening Paparazzi on Jimmy Kimmel (@kanyewest @kimkardashian)

Kanye West may have dug himself a deeper hole than the one he’s already in regarding his case involving the paparazzo he engaged in a physical altercation with over the summer. While on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, Ye spoke very passionately about how it upsets him that paparazzi continue to disrespect him and fellow celebrities.  In the middle of his rant about unwanted flashing cameras, he made some statements that came off as a threat to future camera crews, in the eyes of Attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing the photographer that Yeezy tussled with earlier this year.

Kanye said on Kimmel:

“We bring something of joy to the world…I should be respected and such when I walk on the street.  Never think I’m not from Chicago for one second. … I understand you gotta get your money, and its hard out here. It’s a lack of decency.”

Ms. Allred took his Chicago reference in a threatening way. Given that the crime rate in Chi-Raq has been high for a while, it seemd to imply that Kanye was using that as an example of what he is willing to do to other photographers who disrespect him.  She made a firm statement to RadarOnline.com regarding Kanye’s comments and how he should be held responsible for his actions.

“Mr. West made it clear that he thinks that he has the right to attack anyone that antagonizes him by asking him a question that he does not like. He thinks that paparazzi are fair game. In his televised appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show he sent a message that anyone that crosses him is not safe and that no one should forget that he is from Chicago. We have a message to you Mr. West in response. You will be held accountable for your actions both in the criminal justice system and in the civil justice system. Your remarks are shameful and add further insult to the injuries that you inflicted upon my client.

“You say that you bring ‘joy to the world’. I say you disgrace your profession and bring shame to your hometown of Chicago when you make reference to being from Chicago as some sort of threat.”
