Mayweather Gives Post-Fight Interview After Defeating Alvarez (@floydmayweather)

As it turns out, Canelo Alvarez was no match for Money Mayweather.

Mayweather won the big match Saturday night, netting a cool $41.5 million and further solidifying his place as our generations best fighter. Floyd dismantled the bigger fighter, who many believed had a decent chance at upsetting the undefeated Mayweather.

“I just listened to my corner, listened to my dad,” said Mayweather. “My dad had a brilliant game plan, and I went out there and got the job done.”

Despite having almost 15 pounds on Mayweather, Alvarez had trouble anticipating Floyd’s quick moves.

“He’s very talented, very elusive,” said Alvarez of Mayweather. “I didn’t know how to get him, it’s extremely simple. He’s a great fighter, very intelligent. The frutsration was getting in there, but he’s a great fighter. We tried to catch him.”
