Soulja Boy Talks “Turning Up” With Drake for We Made It Video (@souljaboy @drake)

Soulja Boy knew that “We Made It” was going to be a hit as soon as he heard the Purpdogg-produced beat, telling XXL, “When I first heard the record, I sat down. I was looking down and I heard the beat. And I was like, ‘N*gga, we made it! N*gga, we made it!’ They was like, ‘Bruh, that’s crazy Soulja. This sh*t crazy.'”

Drake was also fond of “The King” mixtape track, and called up Soulja to talk about recording his own verses on the beat. 

“Drake called me the next day, saying, ‘Soulja, bruh, what the f*ck? This sh*t crazy.’ I’m like, ‘Alright.’ He like, ‘Man, we got one.’ I’m like, ‘Let’s do it.’ And the next day we just getting it in.”

The song has taken over clubs around the world, and now fans will have a visual to go with the track, as Soulja claims that they are shooting a video,”We shake the industry up. That’s what we do, man. The treatment is crazy. It’s coming for sure. People are going to like it, man. I’m just turning up.”
