The glitz and glam of award season and red carpets, in general, is basically over after the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Gala. Therefore the first Monday in May is our last chance to get serious beauty inspiration, to the highest levels.
This year the trending dress color was silver, but makeup was old school and glamorous. Maybe as a way to balance the whole futuristic-technology theme, makeup was feminine and soft. Eyebrows thick, lips red, and lashes long was the recipe of the night— and we’ve been left wanting seconds.
