Vibe Magazine Celebrates 20th Anniversery With Three Covers
Vibe magazine is celebrating their 20th anniversary with not one, but three different covers for their Summer 2013 issue. On the first cover singers Robin Thicke and Janelle Monae come together; both singers had two of the biggest hits of the summer, Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines featuring T.I and Pharrell Williams, and Janelle Monae’s Q.U.E.E.N featuring Erykah Badu.
Inside the magazine the two artists talk about the definition of their own music while also discussing the similarities they share between their music. It wasn’t until I saw these two on the cover together that I realized how similar they are with their artistry.
The second cover features Nas and J. Cole, and the third cover features Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk, continue to see the remaining two covers and more…
In this issue the two rappers talk about J. Cole’s track “Let Nas Down” on his latest album Born Sinner and Nas’s response to the track “Made Nas Proud” and way much more.
On the third cover Pharrell appears with the dance music duo Daft Punk (mostly known for their single “One More Time”). All three discuss their music and what is expected to come in the near future.
