Watch Out, Kendrick: Michelle Obama Is Releasing A Rap Album

OK. So maybe Kendrick Lamar doesn’t need to be on alert for the First Lady, but Michelle Obama dropping an album in the midst of this modern day rap battle environment we have going on is pretty damn funny.  According to Entertainment Tonight, Michelle will be releasing an album to coincide with her Let’s Move! campaign.  But she’s bringing in some pretty legendary names.

Yes, you heard right, the FLOTUS is releasing a rap album featuring artists like Run DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Ashanti and Jordin Sparks, which will promote her Let’s Move! campaign. Sadly, Obama will not be singing on the album, but rather making cameos in ten videos distributed to schools in New York and other cities in conjunction with the record.

I love how forward thinking she is!  I sure would copy a Michelle Obama rap album before a Kid’s Bop album, anyday.  Too bad she couldn’t get Beyoncé to get involved again, though. The album is set to be released next month.  Will you cop one?Similar Posts:
