Will & Jaden Smith’s Film Falls Short at the Box Office (@officialjaden)

Even though Will and Jaden Smith’s “After Earth” pulled in $27 million for its opening weekend at the box office and a number 3 spot overall, those are still fairly lackluster numbers when it comes to films with Will Smith’s stamp on them.  With competition like “Fast 6” locking in the top spot for the box office this past weekend, the numbers for Will’s latest summer flick are in actuality his lowest since his 1993 debut on the big screen with “Made In America,” which locked in $11.8 million for its opening.

Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that the film has been slammed repeatedly in numerous reviews, and many people have been pondering whether or not M. Night Shyamalan’s attachment to the film might’ve contributed to the lack of ticket sales.

Do you plan on going to see “After Earth” any time soon?
