Zimmerman’s Attorneys Use Video Animation to Re-Enact Murder
George Zimmerman’s attorneys used a video game-like simulation to portray the deadly encounter that occurred on February 26th, 2012, between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. The encounter is an “estimation based upon George Zimmerman’s testimony,” according to Contrast Forensics specialist Daniel Shumaker.
The video shows Trayvon walking on a sidewalk perpendicular to George Zimmerman’s, and when the two men encounter each other, Trayvon punches George Zimmerman in the face and knocks him to the ground. One key detail that isn’t shown in the 3D animation is the fact that in George Zimmerman’s first testimony to police just hours after the shooting occurred, he stated, “I was walking through to where my car was and he jumped out from the bushes.” Instead, the animation shows Trayvon simply walking into Zimmerman’s path, and no bushes are present.
