10 Ways You Are Ruining You Hair (And You Don’t Even Know It)

Hair is often times a girls’ most prized possession, but ironically, we tend to mistreat it.

Sure, we may wash our hair daily, or even treat our locks to a deep condition every now and then, but are we really giving our precious mane the TLC it needs?

We expect so much from our hair: to stay straight in any climate, hold curls until the end of time, and even give us that extra boost of confidence during the days when we’re just feeling blah. Our hair is under a lot of pressure and it’s pretty important that we remember not to stress it out with day-to-day styling (we can be pretty obsessive with our flatirons and hairspray).

When it comes to maintaining the health of our hair, famous soul singer, Ottis Redding, said it best.  It really does help to “try a little tenderness.” Hair is delicate and should be treated as such.

This may even mean giving up your most coveted hairstyles,  top knots included.

The truth is, there’s actually a list of things that could be sabotaging the health of your hair and the list might surprise you!
