Last night at NYC’s Gabriel Kreuther restaurant a group of online editors found out that Brad Goreski has many talents.

The Los Angeles bred stylist hosted an intimate dinner in tandem with Marshalls celebration of its 1000th store opening. In addition to shopping at Marshalls for his own wardrobe, Goreski uses the designer discount store to dress his clients. Founded twenty years ago, the store is a constant wellspring of affordable finds.

But back to Brad’s many talents.

Not only did he give fall fashion advice, he also curated a three course menu paired with wine selections. And the filet mignon was delicious.

Over our main course we chatted about bell bottoms, how to look fabulous in a bulky coat and his love of athleisure-wear.

On what shoes to wear with bell bottoms: “Platfoooorms! I always think a bell bottom is a great way to disguise adding more height. It’s kind of like wearing a gown with two legs. [chuckles] Any opportunity for a woman who is shorter, to add height, those are the things that work well. So I say the highest of high you can manage –whatever makes you feel most comfortable– is the way to go. Go with the ’60s, ’70s vibe by creating that illusion of height… I mean.. That’s what we do under gowns all the time.”
