Your mascara is expired. The shelf life of mascara is about six months. You don’t want to risk putting something expired that close to your eyes and it can lead to infection if ignored.
You’re not thoroughly cleaning up after. Its common for for mascara to end up on your skin after application. To avoid smudging, wait until it dries and clean up with a cotton swab.
You’re only putting on one coat. Don’t be afraid to put on more than one coat. It takes 3-5 coats of mascara for your lashes to reach their full potential.
You’re stroke game is weak. Solely pulling the mascara wand through your lashes won’t get you that glamorous look you desire. To completely coat each strand, start by wiggling the wand horizontally through your lashes as you pull it up from the root through the tip.
You’re wand is overloaded. Once you pull the wand out of the tube it’s usually overloaded with product. To avoid clumps, wipe some of the product off of the wand before you apply.
