A Few Things This Editor Is Loving For The Summer

There are two things I have been trying to incorporate into my day, to look and feel better: Water and SPF.

While I have bottles of water at my desk, it always seemed a bit wasteful for me to continually buy these plastic bottles. The environment is screaming in pain! Plus, do you have any idea how many harmful chemicals are in these plastic bottles? It’s alarming.

In an effort to drink more –pure– water, I tried bkr, a brand based out of California. The glass bottles with silicone casing are BPA and phthalate-free (chemicals capable of interfering with the body’s hormones and linked to diseases like cancer and diabetes); they also boasts a no-leak seal and are dishwasher safe. Oh, and each collection is limited edition– making them extra chic.

Ok, so for my SPF goal, I just got some over-the-counter 100SPF lotion that’s protecting my dark brown from the sun. But when it comes to my natural curls, SPF will (clearly) not due. In an effort to fully protect my exterior– and simultaneously– help my hair grow, I picked up SLAPS Satin Lined Caps.

The satin topper is ideal for sleeping as it maintains hair moisture and stays put with a comfortable elastic band. Listen, as a wild sleeper, there are very few scarfs that make it through the night– thus this ideal for a girl like me. And priced at $30 there’s nothing to argue.
