Adrian Grenier’s Devil Wears Prada Throwback Photo Has Us Totally Inspired to Dress Like Andy Sachs This Fall

For some Adrian Grenier will always be known as his Entourage character, Vincent Chase. For others, it’s his unforgettable performance as grilled cheese-maker extraordinaire in The Devil Wears Prada that will always hold a special place in our hearts (scratch that — stomachs). He portrayed Andy Sachs’s (played by Anne Hathaway) boyfriend and today, Grenier took us back to 2006 with a little throwback trivia about his character, and inadvertently inspired a style search at the same time.

He asked fans what type of cheese he used on Andy’s sandwich and how much it cost (bonus points for anyone who remembers that extra detail!). And commenters went crazy posting the answer: “$8 worth of Jarlsberg!”

He may not have always been the most understanding towards Andy and her demanding career (um, hello, have you met Miranda Priestly?), but who could resist that floppy hair and the quick hand with a grill pan?

After we spent some time thinking about all the cheesy references in the movie (cubes of the stuff kept Emily from fainting!), we started daydreaming about Andy’s wardrobe in the film. Like her luxe coat collection, and the time she wore “the Chanel boots.” And it made us feel inspired to track down the best Devil fall finds to channel your inner Andy.
