The first lady of fashion, better known as Anna Wintour, is the latest face to be snapped by Mario Testino’s camera lens. Ditching her usual luxury attire, the Vogue EIC posed for the fashion photographer’s Towel Series in a rather spontaneous must-have item: a robe!
The fashion icon represents the 82nd subject in Testino’s ongoing photo project that has featured names like Kate Moss, Justin Bieber and Naomi Campbell (wearing as little as a towel!). Shot in black and white, Wintour’s session showed off the editor’s signature bob, crossed arms and classic smirk. Deciding to forego her trademark sunglasses, she looks right into the camera with an air of confidence – and we have to say, the term ‘slaying’ is an understatement.
Wintour’s photo was debuted on Testino’s Instagram the same week that he posted photos of the Royal Family (which we’re convinced was definitely planned!). And though she might be a little fashionably late to the trend, there’s no denying the style influencer’s personal stamp.
