It looks like Ashley Tisdale was waiting until she got married to make a major mane change. The newlywed has colored her hair a purplish-gray hue — basically the new it color in Hollywood this fall.

Tisdale debuted her new shade on Instagram, captioning the above photo, “I may have a cold but I got lavender in my bun :)” It looks like the star mainly dyed her ends, and now we can’t wait to see what the color looks like when she wears it in her signature down, wavy style.

She also dropped a hint from her trip to the salon, sharing a photo mid-dye job (below) from the celeb-loved Nine Zero One salon in L.A. . “Getting into trouble with @ambahhh ;),” she wrote, giving her colorist some love.

Purple has quickly become the what hot-pink tips were a few years ago, with stars like Kelly Osbourne, Demi Lovato and Kesha all leading the trend.
