Back to Blonde! Former Pink-Haired Stars Kelly Ripa, Nicole Richie and More Stars Go Back to Their Roots!

Just when we were starting to get used to the “Pink Ladies’ Club” (a nickname we’ve given this trio of Hollywood stars who’ve recently gone bright pink), they’ve given up the pretty pastel hue for their signature blonde shades.

Nicole Richie, who’s experimented with just about every color of the rainbow on her short cut, went from bright-blue to pastel pink earlier this year — then chopped it all off into a shaggy pixie! But now it seems the once colorful hue is slowly washing out — something Richie is perfectly okay with.

“Right now it’s kind of fading away, but it’s different every time I wash it … to I don’t know what,” she told PEOPLE. “So I’m gonna have to make a decision soon. I don’t know what it is gonna be.” We don’t see her spending too much time or energy on the next look, though: She once told PEOPLE most of her hair changes just “happen,” thanks to her hair stylist and childhood BFF Andy Lecompte.

As for Kelly Ripa, the TV talk show host shocked — well, if not the world, at least her cohost Michael Strahan — when she first debuted her hot new hue, but as it turns out, the shockingly bright do was only temporary and has since reverted back to her short blonde bob.

“Every time I go on vacation I dye my hair a different color,” she explained to the Live! with Kelly and Michael audience when she first debuted the pink shade. “It usually washes out and this will wash out. It’s part of my tradition — I like to have fun for a few weeks. I literally sat there with pink hair dye, multiple shades of pink on my hair for hours. I get very bored. I’ve had the same color for six months at least, and that’s a long time for me.”

We wonder what hot hue the talk show host will decide on next? Is fiery red still an option? (We hope so!) “I think I might go red next,” she said at the time. “When we first put it on it looked really red and I was like, ‘I like it!’ I tried a red wig once and I was drunk with power.”

And finally, The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco ditched her dusty rose shade for a bright, blonde color just in time for summer.

“Ok maybe blondes do have more fun
