New York City’s first ever fashion week dedicated to menswear ended with a bang courtesy of John Varvatos.

While most designers showcased their threads in the form of presentations, Varvatos, the Detroit-born designer with a flair for all things rock ‘n’ roll, went big and ended the week with a full-on runway show and star-studded evening to showcase his Spring 2016 collection.

Models conjuring The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Billy Idol strutted down the runway in bold striped suits and touseled hair while stars like Tyson Beckford, Johnny Galecki and the cast of Mr. Robot looked on from the front row.

“Oh, man, I was thinking about the mid-’70s rock scene in Southern California, the clubs in the Laurel Canyon area where the Stones and Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac played,” John Varvatos told Style.com. “It was all so relaxed and bohemian.”

With a collection that highlighted the glam rock of decades past, we went backstage and caught all the excitement and chaos that goes on before a big show. We were there with the models, stylists and Varvatos himself to catch all the pre-show action.
