#BaeWatch: 10 Times Solange Slayed The Fashion Game This Year

Now, I am a dedicated member of the BeyHive, but when it comes to personal style, Solange Knowles is the sister I strive to emulate. She negates all rules, wears what makes her happy and could care less about a critic; badass-ery at its finest.
Beyond her voluminous fro and impeccable shoe game, the 29 year old exudes the type of demeanor that can only come from a fully realized woman. Unfortunate elevator incident aside, she’s made headlines time and time again for the right reasons. Most recently, she proudly highlighted mother Tina Knowles Lawson’s jaw dropping Ebony cover and even shared brief, but passionate commentary on the Charleston, SC tragedy:
“Was already weary. Was already heavy hearted. Was already tired. Where can we be safe? Where can we be free? Where can we be black?,” she wrote. Even if it’s a retweet or caption-less photo, the style star’s social media moves alone make her “Woman Crush Everyday” material.
Ranking Solo’s many fashion wins can be challenging, because….well, there’s so many! In honor of her birthday, we’re only going back to June 2014. Obviously, we have to start off with her November 2014 nuptials (above). This photo marked the resurgence of Hollywood “girl squads” and brought back capes in a major way.
